An ideal location to getting around to key places. Overall the rooms were great too, except one of the light bulbs in our room was out. Also, the elevator wasn't working when we checked in, but they got it running again very quickly. Those were very minor incidences, so overall a great experience that made our stay in Edinburgh perfect! Kudos to the Angels Share team!
The Angels Share Hotel is a nice property with a friendly staff. The decor and rooms center in Scottish celebrities, a point of pride in this country. There are many chandeliers, which gives the appearance of angels floating in the air. The room was a bit small, but perfect for a solo traveler. The bar connected to the property has a great selection of whiskies and beer. They often have live music, so the atmosphere is great for entertainment. The bar is cashless, so prepare to pay with a card.
Really enjoyed my stay. Lovely hotel with great breakfast and bar area. Excellent selection of Malts if you like your whisky . Only slight issue was the lack of air conditioning in the room. I fully accept that of a normal Scottish summer not needed but it was exceptionally warm and the rooms were unpleasant. So much so that the thoughtful gift of 2 tunnocks teacakes were melted onto the cups
Very convenient location and helpful staff. Room was spacious but there was no A/C, the window was from the sunny side and could be open just a little so it was very hot and stuffy, same with bathroom as the was lack of ventilation. Bar was nice, the breakfast however was a big disappointment, as there was a fixed menu to choose from with some additional charges sometimes not exactly what I expected. To sum up it's a good hotel to explore Edinburgh from, but for that price I had a higher expectations.
Room was great and roomy. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would say, as someone with my short legs, it was difficult to get in and out of the high bath in order to have a shower. The restaurant was good, with the added bonus of live music on Thursday night. A great location, many of Edinburgh’s attractions are within easy walking distance.
