Red Box Noodle - Edinburgh, City of

This place is awesome, we work in the city centre and regularly trek to Red Box for noodles in a box. Friendly and fast service and the noodles are always packed to the top of the box. Very tasty and highly recommended, their Szechwan sauce packs a punch!

Amazing food as always. Ordered the Pork Gyozas and Chicken and Pork rice noodles and yeah, this place never fails. Always perfect and on point and love the Cash Only policy, breath of fresh air nowadays.

The appetizers at this restaurant are impressive, but the lack of choices for the stir fry dish is disappointing. The option to only choose two vegetables is quite stingy, especially considering the price. I would recommend trying Ting Thai on Forrest Road instead.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident on our way to Holyrood distillery, but it turned out to be a great find. The concept is to choose your noodles or rice, three toppings, a protein option, and a sauce. You can either serve yourself using a screen near the counter, or have someone show you how to do it. We were impressed by the fact that they offered gluten-free noodle options that were pre-packaged to prevent cross-contamination. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, so it's good to remember that before you go.

This small Asian restaurant offers a wide range of options to build your own noodle or ramen bowl. The food is affordable, high quality, and conveniently located near campus for student lunch breaks. The interior design may be a little reminiscent of fast food restaurants, which I personally found lacking a cultural atmosphere more in line with the type of cuisine. Just my personal opinion.
