Since then the motel and restaurant were sold and although the accommodation was okay the restaurant was a disaster. It was not open or had a very limited menu. But NOW the Indian restaurant is gone and the 2007/8 owners are back and it shows! The meal we had tonight was fabulous. My wife had duck and I had the mignon - both were delicious. We followed this with a shared Death By Chocolate - spectacular! The new wait staff were friendly and ready to help at all times. Can't recommend it too highly.
We had a table of 9 - everyone loved their meals and commented on how friendly and efficient the solo waitress/bar person was. We had Japanese-style scallops, garlic prawns, salt and pepper squid, mushrooms, rib eye fillet, lamb shanks, mixed seafood grill, chicken saltimbocca, pork cutlets, choc cherry cheesecake, triple icecream brownies, and assorted beverages. The only suggestion I'd make is to offer a less expensive Marlborough sauvignon blanc and then I'd say 'perfect!'
Called in for dinner on our way through town, and so glad we did the food here is to die for, Was a Saturday night so a few in the waitress made us feel right at home, she never missed a beat looked after everyone fantastically, I had the Eye fillet on the bone, was huge and cooked to perfection the desserts were amazing, kids meals were huge, thank you for a great night and thanks to the chef for the best meal in a long while.
We had a lovely dinner on Thursday night at this little gem of a restaurant in Eden. It might not have the views and yes it's in a motel, but don't let that stop you from sampling the fine fare from this establishment. Classic garlic prawns are to die for, served bubbling away in a hot pot. Lovely fresh local seafood dishes cooked to perfection and a pistachio torte and cookies and cream cheesecake topped off a fab night. The host was great fun and made us feel very welcome despite the fact it was a quiet Thursday eve and the chefs didn't miss a beat. Thanks guys for the meal we've ever had in Eden:)
Food was very nice. Salt and Pepper calamari fettuccine marinara and rib eye all round great job. Well priced and worth it.
