The Northwoods Steakhouse - East Tawas

My honey and I celebrated a beautiful anniversary dinner here and we enjoyed it very much. Nicely furnished and comfortable Up North Restaurant. My honey had the Bison-Steak medium rare, and I had the big lakes whitefish. Both perfectly prepared. Our waitress Jill was very attentive and even cost us with a special anniversary cake, complete with Funkler above! Very nice touch and a special way to finish our evening there. Delicious food and great service from start to end--- highly recommend!

My people and I spent a wonderful New Year's dinner there. Your staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was excellent for such a busy holiday night. The owner Pat even bought to say hello and see how everything was fine. Since my parents eat there for the first time, they loved the atmosphere at my favorite table by fire at a very cold winter night. Thank you. Happy New Year!

The restaurant has a unique rustic charm. The service is exceptional--I recommend asking for Lisa. She'll take care of you! It was delicious for the food. I had the onion soup and it was mouthwater. The sides are large enough to share, and my steak was cooked exactly on my specifications. Thank you for a great culinary experience!

We are often cartridges from Northwoods and our favorite restaurant stays by far! Their Walleye and Perch are excellent and their Steaks and Prime Rib are too. You have an excellent, extensive wine collection, better than most restaurants we visited in the country. The service is excellent, salads always fresh, cannot praise this facility enough. Always the highlight of our time in Tawas. So glad we have this option, always our first choice. (Lisa is the best of servers!

EXCELLENT.....service was stellar, food was prepared and served as it should be, no complaints except maybe a bigger beer glass.
