Waterfront Restaurant - East Geelong

Very nice place to set and enjoy the view but took soooo long to get the food and I was soooo hungry and If u are hungry order main food because for me a petite lady wasn’t enough ,but delicious

Had lunch there on Sunday February 5th. There was a party of 5 people. for starters one ordered mussles and the rest of us shared a dip platter. Not one mussle was open when it arrived at the table and had to be sent back to have them opened. Mussles should never be served unopened. For main one had the fish and chips and this is all that was served. No salad or garnish. three of us ordered steak medium rare. They were very rare and the one I had was blue but there was no moisture or juice in it. Worst steak I've ever had. The desert of deconstructed lemon tart was also discusting. Don't know if it was a bad day but we would never go again for lunch.

Nice location (overlooking water), but food service very ordinary. Reasonable choice on menu, roomy dining area but no spark

We stopped in for lunch, lines were long, one guy serving bar and menu orders who was extremely slow. Eventually got our meals without cuttlery. Had to chase someone else up to get cuttlery,. The chicken caeser salad had no chicken, a few specks of crushed bacon the size of breadcrumbs and was basically a $20 bowl of lettuce and mayonnaise. When I said they could refund it, they made no attempt whatsoever to do so. Presented it again with chicken by which time my partner had already finished. Had to ask again for a refund. Witnessed two separste tables asking where the drinks they ordered an hour ago were. In addition to this the bathroom sink had been flooded onto the floor and one of the young, small female staff was heaving heavy tables on her own and one waitress crying from abuse. The burger was nice but definitely not worth its price, especially when egg and bacon is an additional cost. Nice place but take your business to any of the many other venues alongside it, especially the smaller ones.

Returned again to the lovely Novotel restaurant and bar for a light lunch; absolutely perfect service and ordered a second round of the beautifully presented and deicious arancini, looking out over the bay and wishing I could stay on!
