It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I absolutely loved every aspect of it. I will definitely be returning! For my meal, I dined in for dinner and I would rate the food 5 out of 5, the service 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere also 5 out of 5.

My bf and I have been here several times and it 's always great! Being greeted by Mario as you walk in the door like you are family coming for Sunday dinner makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, lol. Upon being seated, Mario appeared a moment later and took our drink order and stopped back periodically to refill my prosecco. The calamari was delicious as was my dinner which was a combo of shrimp and chicken scampi style, over rice. My bf had the chicken Parm which he said was very good. Dessert was a raspberry crumb cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious! We were treated to an after dinner drink of limoncello, compliments of Mario. The only negative, and it 's a small one. We moved to the bar for a cocktail and while the bartender was nice she seemed to be a little overwhelmed and took quite awhile to come over to us and get our order. I felt it was a little strange given the fact that the bar was pretty empty. Despite that, we will definitely come back and I recommend this place a million times over. Have you ever gone someplace you have never been before, walked in and realized that you feel like you're home? That is the feeling you will get when you walk into this old style Italian restaurant and admire the woodwork and decor. Having been there for over 18 years, Absolutely Mario was absolutely fabulous! Mario was warm and engaging, easy to talk to, friendly and welcoming. Sam was our server and she was perfect, friendly and again easy to talk to and definitely top tier in the service industry. The food, OMG the food! I'm Italian and I have not eaten this well in quite some time. If you are traveling to Long island, like Italian food and want a supreme gustatory experience, Absolutely Mario should absolutely be on your list of places to eat. Don't forget to try and save room for the creme brulee but with the portion sizes, that will be quite hard to do.
