I tried a huge meal called Texas Trash because the details sounded interesting with a side of buttered grits on the side. I give the meal a decent 7/10. I mean, it wasn't horrible ? but it was nothing to write home about either. Loll This was our 1st to this location. There are only 2 stalls in the women's bathroom so you can expect a wait there as well. I'm 5"9 223lbs... so If you're anywhere my size then I advise you to pick the handicap stall because you can barely turn around in the smaller one. I stubbed my toe just from trying to get out the smaller, clostrophic stall. Psst... im newly 47 years old and tend to run... there also seems to be limited air from the ac in the mismatched bathrooms. Will I return to the flipping egg? Sure......but it won't be anytime soon.
Food is very low quality. Syrup was very thin and most likely rancid. No tobasco, only extremely hot Reaper salsa and Ghost pepper salsa. Very expensive for quality and value.
This place made my tummy hurt. The OJ tasted funny and made me gassy. The kitchen is right by the bathrooms, and the waffles are terrible.
The Flipping Egg is a wonderful place to eat. Both food service are great. My 12 year old grandson I eat there regularly. You should go this week check it out for yourself. For me the atmosphere is perfect. For perspective I’m in my 70’s walking into the front door is like stepping back into my childhood. Over breakfast my grandson I review yesterday earlier. Then like Pinky the Brain, we plot and plan today while enjoying our wonderful breakfast. Oh! You won’t find better pancakes. Except of course your mom’s pancakes. Mom’s cooking is always the standard. : Clearly I could write on this subject all day. Come try it for yourself. Bring your kids, or your grandkids make some memories. Be careful. It is habit forming. Enjoy. :
The pancakes were dry and overly done. Every little condiment had an extra charge. I don’t know what’s in their “homemade” maple syrup, but there are no maple trees nearby.
