Sprout Cafe - Durham

Very good food at museum prices. Picked the wrong time to go. The line was out the door.

Faster and better tasting then I expected! I think they could reduce the menu a bit to help them cope with demand. Fries were hot and fresh. The kids menu options were relatively inexpensive and a good size.

This café is the sole dining option at the Museum of Life and Science. Since the museum is so enjoyable, we usually spend several hours there and find ourselves in need of a snack or meal. The food offered is standard fast food fare. The café's design is quite utilitarian—nothing remarkable. However, the food is tasty enough that we rarely feel the need to bring our own snacks.

The menu at this outdoor café near the museum is surprisingly extensive. Located just across from the train station, it's a great spot to grab a bite to eat afterward. You can find everything from a kids' hot dog and grilled cheese to a Thai chicken wrap and veggie burger. They also offer fresh sides, including fruit and hush puppies. Be sure to order the hush puppies and thank me later!

The food was enjoyable for both the kids and adults. Our orders arrived promptly. It would have been nice to have umbrellas at the outdoor tables.
