Panera Bread - Durham

Some of the food we got was poorly made. Avocado was in two huge chunks, too much mayonnaise, and bacon was missing from the BLT. I threw my sandwich away as it looked disgusting.

Not very good. One of the staff members messed up my order. I ordered the sandwich festival, expecting three sandwiches, but I only received one. Additionally, there was another customer who was arguing with the staff because her order was also incorrect. She was understandably upset, as her orders had been wrong multiple times.

I ordered my lunch through the Panera app and they use a doorstep delivery service. I work right across the road and received a notification that my order had been delivered, but it was nowhere to be found. I've been trying to get through on the phone for half an hour without any luck. This isn't the first issue I've had with them, but it will definitely be my last. I do not recommend this place—$30 for a salad and a smoothie is quite steep, especially for such poor service. As a hairstylist, I don't have the time to sit on the phone or search for my food.

The young woman at the register was very attentive and took our order perfectly. The person who prepared our grilled cheese and turkey sandwiches did an excellent job; both sandwiches looked great and tasted delicious. Our favorite soup, French Onion, consistently meets our expectations. Last but not least, we noticed the staff member cleaning the tables was even thorough enough to wipe underneath a nearby table! The excellent service and delicious food convinced me to leave another tip in the jar after our meal!

The food is fine, but it costs you to eat as much as sitting in the regular restaurant. But at least the food was good. It's good if you're hungry and want a little bite.
