Jimmy's Famous Hot Dogs - Durham

Just ate here 2 days ago for the first time on a layover (airline worker). The catfish is EXCELLENT. And my co-worker had the coleslaw and said it was the best she had ever had. Highly recommend this place. Basic, no frills place but the food is FABULOUS

Okay so I'm the worst when it comes to going somewhere when I'm hungry the grocery store a restaurant McDonald's anywhere because I'm hungry so everything sounds good therefore I think I want everything and part of it is I'm scared I'm not going to be satisfied with what I get because that happens all the time everytime or ill end up wanting what the person beside me has instead so ill then look at my meal like its stuupid. so I always give myself a large variety of choices that way something's bound to hit the spot. well I just went to Jimmys famous hot dogs in Durham on 55 and they were on point the people were great and super friendly they had great pictures a great vibe and I got my order within a couple minutes of being there, I got two chili cheese dogs a fry, onion rings a bacon cheeseburger meal and a drink and they even gave me an extra one for free. everything was spectacular it definitely hit the spot today , for the first time since I don't remember when I actually feel satisfied and full. and I'm not one to write reviews unless it's something bad but I definitely enjoyed it and thought it was worth sharing so everyone will know how great their service was and how good the food was. I left feeling satisfied with not only my meal but the service and place overall. everything was great! #ifeltlikebustingoutthedoorswhenileftsingingtheforthefirsttimeinforeversongfromfrozen And by the way just so everyone knows the one on Guess Road does NOT accept anything other than cash but they did have an atm but if your using credit like me than your sol but I had originally went there and then found that out the hard way but something told me to go to the other one it was a 15 minute drive but I'm very glad I did it was well worth it!

That banana pudding is BOMB!! I don't know who makes it, but it is sooooo good! The mac-n-cheese is good too!!

The embodiment of a road side hot dog and burger spot. The service was wonderful. Incredibly attentive and funny. My personal hot dog preference has more of a snap. These were more the water boiled style so soft. A good spot for a quick bite.

Great burgers, hot dogs onion rings and fries. The well seasoned griddle produces classically cooked short order food. Items are fairly priced and are served with a smile. If you're in the mood for this type of food, it will not disappoint!
