The staff are very friendly and helpful but you really do need to sort out the cleanliness as it’s pretty dirty and the highchairs for the little ones don’t even look like they get cleaned. I carry anti bacterial wipes and have to clean the table/highchair etc before we sit down.
I do not recommend trying the festive afternoon tea at this restaurant. The food was lackluster, the atmosphere was dull, and the service was inattentive.
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was not good. I came here for breakfast based on recommendations, but it did not meet my expectations. Despite informing the waiter that I have gluten intolerance (coeliac disease), I still ended up sick after eating the food. The waiter assured me that the veggie breakfast was safe for me, but it turns out that the gluten-free sausages he recommended were not actually gluten-free. I ended up vomiting and feeling unwell for the next day due to this mistake. The manager acknowledged the error and apologized, but it is concerning that such a serious dietary issue was not taken seriously. This experience makes me worried for anyone with life-threatening allergies dining at this restaurant.
While visiting friends, we were in search of a place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Scottish breakfast. I recalled a farm shop from my time living in Dumfries a decade ago, so we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh and tasty food that was cooked perfectly. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. This will definitely not be our last visit.
Just had the best burger I’ve ever had . Friendly efficient staff and just a shame we found this place at the end of our weeks holiday . Even had oat milk which was unexpected tbh. Well worth a visit
