Zum Alten Sattler - Dülmen

Location We parked at the largest motorhome retailer (Europa’s at Dümo in Hiddingsel near Dülmen in North Rhine-Westphalia. After visiting the large area, we went on with a short walk to the old satellite around the corner. Ambience Outside, a small shaded beer garden invites you to stay. Slate boards provide information on daily and weekly dishes. It's made of wood inside. The ceiling consists of wide wooden sleepers. The wooden entrance to which there are two steps borders the bar area with high tables and chairs. We choose a beautiful seat on a velvet-leather bench in the enclosed window area. The chairs in front also have the velvety upholstery and armrests make sitting comfortable. Wall panels, curtains and plants on the windows give the whole a marvellous arm. Everything is illuminated with three-armed white ceramic lamps above each table. The wooden tables themselves are minimalist decorated. A small red middle blanket, a tealight and beer coaster, that's all. Service Wonderful amazement about our question of a table for 2 people. Later it emerged that these are language/communication difficulties. The question was not asked, and the clean-up had to take part in the cook of the house. We suspected that this is a homewee, because even a smile did not bring the pretty service power over her lips. We didn't get a card. These are only on demand. However, since we had already informed ourselves about the slate boards, our choice had already fallen. Pig steak with pepper cream sauce and homemade potato salad (9,50 € and the tip of the week). Neptune fish plate (14,90€ consisting of 3 fish fillets from the noble fish, baked gambas, squid rings on Mediterranean vegetables and roaststis. In both dishes there was a side salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, endivias and a sweet curry honey dressing. I would have liked to have had a little more medium but it was very large and delicate. The taste of pepper sauce was the hammer. There was power in here. The homemade potato salad with meat sausage, egg and Mayo could have passed through as a party salad. The fish fillets took the complete oval plate, on top the grounded squid rings and at least 10 beautifully baked gambas. The fillets were very easy above the cooking point, the bechamel sauce and the fresh vegetable bed of tomatoes, mushrooms and Zuchini could be perfectly balanced. The added 6 reamers tasted crispy on the outside and inside nicely loose, as homemade. Conclusion Very nice tasty portions at a great price-performance ratio. The service needs to be worked. Unfortunately there is no cash bonus here

Der alte Sattler ist eine urige, kleine Kneipe im schönen Hiddingsel. Hier kann man in geselliger Runde das ein oder andere Bierchen trinken, und/oder gemütlich ein leckeres, frisches Essen serviert bekommen. Der alte Sattler ist eine Bereicherung für Hiddingsel und seine auswärtigen Gäste!Weiter so!

Ein schmeck- und sichtbar hervorragender Koch hat diese Kneipe übernommen. Besonders die Fischgerichte gehören zu den Besten, die ich kenne. Es ist wohl ein wenig laut in der kleinen Kneipe, aber die Atmosphäre, die Freundlichkeit, der Service und das Können des Chefs sind den Besuch jederzeit wert. Die Produkte sind frisch und der Chef kann jede Frage beantworten. Fisch, Fleisch und Gemüse sind auf den Punkt genau gegart. Die Portionen sind allerdings sehr groß und eigentlich zu preisgünstig, denn das hier ist kreatives Kochhandwerk.

Delicious and rich food. Very nice hosts. Cosy atmosphere. Price/performance is correct.
