TWIST Design, Cocktail & Lounge (INNSIDE by Melia Dresden)

You should not be fooled by the standard bar ambience: in no case you get standard cocktails here, but creative and absolutely excellent mix drinks from the attentive service. not cheap, but top quality plus infused water for free and enjoy it. who likes cocktails will love the twist (as we :)).

Located in the sixth etage des innside by melia hotels, some have a view of the dome of the Frauenkirche. during our stay the bar was open in the evening from 18.00 hrs. at the beginning one has a large selection of free tables. we had visited them three times in total, once for an apéro, twice for a slumber drink.Remarkable and friendly young crew. lemon water, glasses and nuts are brought to the table for all guests unrequired. very large selection of partly altered or newly defined cocktails.A cocktail with namen green tea pineapple daiquiri (or so similar) had done it to us. with a price of eur 13 not very cheap but qualitatiw very appealing. one, two more drinks, also tried alcohol-free, we were all satisfied with our choice. a reservation can be of advantage, the crew of the bar is nevertheless kindly striving to find a place for one so that you don't have to wait long.price/performance was ok.

A chic bar, good cocktails and friendly service powers - what you want more if you want to take a drink after a busy day before bed.

Well, let's take it from the top: The place is wonderfully decored, the bar is fully equipped with the best spirits in the world and the view is very nice. (oh and we were pleasently surprised seeing a rather big champagne selection.)However, when arriving 10 minutes before midnight New Years Eve, clearly as a tourist, and I almost instantly order a bottle of champagne as the clock is ticking I would expect the staff telling me and my friend that the view really is not a view of New Years as the city is sending off 99% of the fireworks in the opposite direction than the one we are looking at! This has nothing to do with the bar itself, the bar was lovely, but for such a moment, it was anticlimatic - and could have been avoided if the staff had picked up on the fact that it was New Years Eve. Well, the champagne was great, we jumped into the new year together and we went into the night with smiles on our faces, nevertheless.

Cozy bar in the 6th floor with direct view of the dome of the Frauenkirche. a super dedicated nice team with really good cocktail recommendations. certainly not cheap but really worth it...
