Red Lobster - Downers Grove

All you can eat shrimp is great for thr price. House Punch was really good and refreshing. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. One of our better experiences at Red Lobster

The hostess was horrible. Could barely understand a word she said. Was leaning on the counter. Very unpolished. Overall the restaurant could have been cleaner. Our server was very good. Food was good.

We came once again here because this is a chain of restaurants we always liked and as ever, we got the cheese breads upon arrival plus the drinks but had to wait for quite a long time to have our orders taken, just before mid day when the restaurant was rather empty as we left there was the usual queue of people waiting. 1. The food was great and ordered the linguini feast' plus steak with scallops wrapped in bacon 2. When the food arrived, the server called Fontino or something like that (was also the same guy who served me last time and proceeded to say something funny in the kitchen about me as I could hear his mates superior to us' laughing at the paying customer) said the scallops order did not go through' rather than be honest and say: sorry, I am not that bright and I forgot your order 3. Could not finish the meal and took the rest home again a long wait to pay the bill Top stars because of the food, I would give it 0 because of our waiter clearly not an asset to the establishment.

My buddy I attempted to go to Pappadeaux's in westmont on a Friday at 1:00p and they told us we needed reservations, which is unheard of so we left and found this Red lobster.We walked straight in, got seated.I ordered a Brandy Alexander (virgin) and it was fabulous! However, the food was not!Straight to the point, the bay scallops were simply disgusting! So much so, that my server saw me my reaction to the scallops from a distance, he came over and immediately asked was I displeased?Which I was. So, he proceeded to remove them from our bill, which was great.Said scallops are in the black dish in the middle of the plate in the milky liquid substance. Looks extremely appetizing, doesn't it? LOL (NOT)Other than that, everything else was basic. The coleslaw wasn't tasty. I enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts. They didn't have enoughof the sweet glaze which madethe dish tasty.Biscuits for light and fluffy.Before the amount of food we had the bill was fine.P.s I forgot to say, the stuffed mushrooms were raw. The topping meaning the cheese was melted but the entire mushroom was completely and utterly raw.So, the Brandy Alexander got five stars and the rest brought it down to three stars which probably should be two stars since I remembered about themushrooms being raw.
