Five Guys - Douglasville

Five Guys is definitely one of my favorite burger places. The food is fantastic. The only drawback is that the prices have shot up! A regular burger now costs $12, and that doesn't even include fries or a drink! The prices have really gotten out of control. If you're bringing the kids, it just adds to the expense. Because of this, I don't visit as often as I used to. However, the food is still excellent, so I've only deducted one star for the pricing.

I had a fantastic burger with all the toppings, and the fries were fresh and hot. I enjoyed being able to choose my drink from the Coke Freestyle machine. I would have given this place five stars, but it felt a bit on the pricey side—two burgers, two fries, and two drinks came to nearly $40. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was quick to prepare our food and assist with any extra requests. When we arrived around 6 PM, the place was empty, but soon after, it started filling up with customers.

I was taken aback when the cashier seemed to think it was unusual for me to order my burger cooked medium to medium-well. We've dined here before and noticed that when cooked their way, the hamburgers turned out hard and dry, so I insisted on my preferred preparation. Unfortunately, the fries were cold, but the burgers were fantastic—perfectly juicy!

I ordered through DoorDash, and I was really impressed with their cheeseburgers. They are unique, fresh, and delicious. I'd even go so far as to say their burgers are superior to those at Taco Mac, where the patties can be tough and lacking in condiments, particularly the sauce. Unfortunately, the banana milkshake didn't quite hit the mark; it tasted more like a standard vanilla shake than a banana one. It was well-prepared, but it just didn't have that distinct flavor I was hoping for. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I definitely plan to order from this restaurant again!

The service here is outstanding! Dayton, the young man at the register, greeted us warmly and was incredibly helpful. He was both firm and friendly with his staff, ensuring that our order was perfect. I ordered a beef hotdog, while my fiancé got a burger, and of course, we had to order fries! Everything was cooked exactly to our liking. We're currently house hunting and are really enjoying this town so far!
