Magic Fountain Of Montjuïc

It is really beautiful and definitely recommend to see when in Barcelona. Unless you’ve already seen enough of this. Mind you it closes at 10pm Prompt. It gets quite crowded but there’s definitely a place to stand or watch. I was there around 9:45 so I catch it at the perfect time. Though the water fountain flows but best time to see is after sunset where there’s a color and movement rhythm to the water. The whole place is really beautiful even during the day time.

Magic by name and magic by nature as the sun sets over Barcelona you are treated to what could easily be a fireworks display but with water. The colour is vibrant and the atmosphere is lovely. Some things to note; 1. Go to toilet before coming here. The queues to use the small number of toilets are huge and you might miss the start of the performance. 2. The food isn't as expensive as I would have expected for a premium position such as this so you won't be paying extortionate prices for soft drinks, crisps etc. 3. Beware hawkers. They're not pushy, but they're everywhere selling warm beer and plastic toys. 4. If you stand too close to the fountain, depending on the direction of the wind, you may get wet We were stood on the steps with the museum behind us and we could barely hear the music. I think the music may be better from the other side. 5. If there's no room on the steps, you can always climb onto the walled grass banks on either side. When we were there, there was a break dancing troupe doing some numbers before the fountain started. They were very good.

We didn’t have a chance to see the light show but the Magic fountains are still worth visiting. It is one of my favorite places in Barcelona. For the best view you should go on the top of the hill as it is definitely a great photo spot.

This was very beautiful and easily accessible. The fountains weren't running for some reason, so I was disappointed, but it was a good time regardless. At the top I recommend sitting on the steps and having a drink. I found it very relaxing and the view and live music were nice.

I usually love this place, but all fountains are closed due to drought. Not sure why people post old pictures of the fountain being on, I suspect due to that there are some salesman there. The place itself is beautiful but can not review properly as it is not on (seems to have been for months now)
