Oak Reel - Detroit

My wife and son went here for her birthday. What a most enjoyable dinner that I ever had. I opted for the chefs tasting menu while the others ordered the 4 course tasting. It was simply the best food that I ever enjoyed. We will be back for sure.

Great atmosphere, accompanied by attentive service! I would highly recommend having your date night, anniversary etc here. This is my second time visiting and everything I’ve ordered has been cooked perfectly and delicious! Thank you Oak Reel for a great night out!

A culinary delight! Didn't expect the fish to be so good but it was perfect! From exquisite flavors to great presentation, each dish was a delightful. The attentive service and inviting ambiance added to the wonderful dining experience. A definite recommendation for food enthusiasts!

Had high hopes. Heard good things. We were there for three hours. Waited 1 hour for first course. And about a half hour between others. We’re there for a celebration but it began to feel like a funeral. The food arrived and was not tasty. No one at the table enjoyed either course. The drinks were delicious ? yet!, they also took a very long time. We’d asked if they were understaffed and they said no…and they were only at ~40% capacity so we couldn’t understand the reason for the delay. The floor manager appeared to be available yet managed to keep avoiding us by sending over other staff.The experience was not worth the bill. Wouldn’t return.
