The Republic On Grand - Des Moines

This top floor on a hotel is open for a view of downtown Des Moines. No dress code, although it is one of those places that has a de facto dress code due to the clientele. The lobby to the restaurant is very nice and the furnishings are clean and stylish. Service was great. The food was well prepared. Good experience.

Great food and service. The indoor outdoor ambience is wonderful rain or shine.

I am finding myself here at least once a week for dinner. Consistently delicious food, great staff, I plan on coming back many more times. Love the new pasta dishes!

Republic is our place to go to get beverages and charcuterie boards. I do want to say that their boards are amazing and smoked old fashioned compliments it. You can definitely skip dinner and get few various options if that's what you chose. There's no true outdoor seating, but one side is open to the outside which makes it really nice in the summer. Staff has always been great, fast and friendly. Never have we had an issue there.

Great drinks, food, atmosphere and service! We had the Graziano flatbread which was amazing and the Hook and Ladder drink was everything you want in a drink!!
