Best tacos in Denton.Tortillas and fillings are all fresh and hot. Especially like the breakfast tacos. The salsa never impresses me much, but the tacos themselves make up for it
I'm pretty sure I'd rather eat dog or horse before coming here, perhaps that's what I ate. How in the hell do you eff up a taco?? My 5 year old niece could do far better than this butcher shop, even blind....is this a front or...?
My husband and I stopped by for an early lunch on a Saturday a couple months ago. We've been to this location before when they had a different name, but we are pretty certain we recognized some of the same staff as before. At the time, we were the only people there, but I've driven by when there are a handful of cars on a regular basis (which is crowded based on the tiny parking lot). They were very welcoming and gracious, they seemed to genuinely appreciate our business. While I wouldn't describe them as chatty, they were very polite as they took our order and payment at the counter with big smiles and I could immediately hear cooking commence in the back while we found a table to sit at. There are a few tables, a counter and a television. They utilize the rest of the space as a small store. On the right hand side there was a cooler of drinks and some snacks, to the left I noticed they sell some essentials like toiletries, detergent and diapers on shelves. The menu was pretty small, listing some meats and a handful of dishes. I don't recall the prices off hand, but it didn't strike me as expensive or out of line with other taquerias in town. I ordered the gordita plate with carnitas and my husband got the nachos with asada. With two drinks from the cooler I believe it was right around $20 or so. The food took the right amount of time for being cooked to order and the portions were huge!!! We definitely got a great deal on a lot of food and it was way better than I remembered from our previous visit. It's too bad we were in the middle of running errands because we couldn't finish it all and there would've been plenty to have for left overs later. I hated to let any of it go to waste, but I was absolutely stuffed! I stole some of my husband's asada and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, sooo good! He really enjoyed his nachos. Everything on my plate was fresh, from the veggies to the beans to the crispness of the gordita. It was really well made and comforting and I found everything delicious! We had such a pleasant visit and really enjoyed our meal and they thanked us for our business as we left. While the offerings are small, they execute their menu really well for a reasonable price without the long lines, which I find very enticing! Based on this visit I would say they are definitely in the top 5 in town. We will definitely be back!
I have been wanting to try this place and finally did and I was no disappointed. Great service, simple menu and extremely fresh food. I took pictures of the menu for other yelpers to view.
