La Fonda - Deming

Wow! The most beautiful and delicious food I've ever had. You have to try the Chile con Queso - it's the best! The chicken dishes were also amazing.

I recently visited this restaurant's outdoor terrace and was pleasantly surprised by the attentive waiting staff. There was minimal wait time for small parties, and the food was delicious and authentic. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast steak combo, as the steak was cooked perfectly and the enchiladas were also tasty. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The city is beautiful as well.

Wherever my wife and I travel, we like to eat at local places to get a taste of the opposite. la fonda is amazing! hands down the best authentic Mexican cuisine I ever had, and we went to mexiko. recommend this little jewel hidden in deming, new mexico.

I hate leaving a 2 star on this place but it would have been a 3 if not for one thing. The food was average but the one thing that dropped this establishment to 2 was the chile con queso and chips. The queso was water thin, had no flavor, it was like they dropped a can of great value chopped chile in it and the topper was it was served with potato chips!!! Like really? This is a Mexican restaurant and queso should be served with tortilla chips. On a positive note our server was extremely nice, attentive and courteous even though she assumed I was Anglo when I asked about the carne adovada tacos (she said they are made with really hot chile, which I love). We actually had a good laugh about that comment.
