Can't remember how many years it has been since I had a real old fashioned hamburger and the Amble Inn seems to have them down to a fine art. Ordered the Mega Steak Burger (think that's what is was called), and definitely wasn't disappointed. Freshly made to order-perfect steak, perfect bacon, perfect egg, perfect cheese, perfect tomato, mixed variety of lettuce, heaps of yummy fried onions and forget what else-just brilliant. Bun was so incredibly fresh you'd think it was also just baked ! For around $9.50, worth every cent as so HUGE it was impossible to get my mouth around it.The young teenage male serving had impeccable manners, a lovely welcoming smile, and the owners should be very proud of him.Ordered some home made slices to take away-the jelly slice was a bit bland but the chocolate peppermint slice was to die for.Very quaint café, sort of looks stuck in the 70's due to the black and white check decor but it works. Plenty of seating, all serving and cooking areas clearly visible to customers, very clean, home made products for sale ie sauces and jams, seating also available on footpath, and takeaway available. Will definitely return.
Always busy in here with local and tourist and there isn't a great choice to have but its always clean and will cook things to your liking
Burger was better then the service. But I was shocked that I was Interrupted at my table because I was under charged $1.80. Which had to be paid there and then :/ But to the ladies who served us...a quick "how's ur morning going" and a smile goes a long way in the hospitality industry!!
Friendly service in a casual environment. Take away and eat in choices. Wedges are great. Offer good weekly lunchtime specials to choose from too.
