Fatman's Cafe & BYO Bar - Darlinghurst

Poor food and presentation. which was a shame. not really delivering on potential. staff were nice but was easy to see that they had poor customer satisfaction and it showed in their conduct as they realised they could not deliver to expectations. will expect them to go under soon, unless there is a change. Like I said it is a shame.

Had my farewell lunch here with a few work mates, thank you so much for hosting. Will be back for sure! Now, I’ve had some tacos before, but these were off the chain. I loved the fact they were grilled and not fried. The sauce they had was fantastic and had a nice simple, yet subtle, kick to it. I don’t think even if you don’t like things with a kick that you would be offended by it. The crunch of the taco was crunch yet still moist.....perfect!!!

I tried to make a booking under Groupon deal... firstly they said yes, they have availability at that time. After 20 minutes and I had a voucher already!! They rang back to inform me that nothing available at all for today!! Bad service ever. I won't be there anymore...Unprofessional at all!!!

My friends and I stopped over here over the weekend and it was not busy - the cafe contained my friends and I and another couple. The atmosphere is nice, very dim lighting and the tables are spaced out which gives you more space. However, the food and drinks were quite disappointing. My friend ordered a soft drink which took roughly 15 minutes to arrive and when it did, there was dust on top of the can. I ordered a carrot juice which took 20 minutes to come and not to mention the serving sizes are very small. The food took an awful 30 minutes to come and when it hit it the table, the presentation was nice but my steak sandwich was very dry and a let down. My friends really enjoyed their dishes though, so maybe I should've ordered something else.

I really appreciate cafes that do FRESHLY squeezed juice, even if its for a groupon voucher. Paid $11 and was satisfied with their eggs Bennie with ham and apple juice. Service ain't too bad.
