We used a voucher deal that offered good value for the dishes we ordered, including dumplings, spring rolls, beef, chicken curry, and crispy skin chicken. One of the standout aspects of our experience was the genuine concern from the staff about our enjoyment of the food. Although there weren't many diners in the restaurant, leading to a less lively atmosphere, this should not deter you from enjoying a delicious meal here.
I highly recommend the cuisine and service at this restaurant! Although it may look like a bar, it is actually a hidden gem serving delicious food. Be sure to try the rice cakes topped with prawn paste, and the pancakes are also fantastic!
My partner booked this Resturant for my birthday dinner and I had such a lovely time here! The staff were really friendly and accommodating as my partner requested some changes to the dishes he ordered. The food came out quickly & we loved every dish! Our favourites were the prawn dumplings, duck pancakes and prawn laska (they change their menu depending on the season) It's little Resturant on a quiet street with a nice cosy vibe & we definitely would love to visit here again!
I went there with my friends and we loved the food and service. Best place in area and worth visiting it. They have big function room too.
Last Wednesday (05/04) I booked and paid $96 for a next day dinner for 4 for what was promoted via the Spreets / Deals marketing group as “ French-Vietnamese Fusion Banquet with wine “ at Bluestone Restaurant & Bar (Sydney)- value $248.00 The advert says “Includes a spread of delicious dishes inspired by Vietnamese and French fusion with tasty treats like steamed dumplings; beef noodle soup; chicken curry and more.” And “ As featured on the Australian Good Food Guide and boasting and impressive 4-5 star Trip Advisor rating”. Three of us attended next day. There were just 2 other couples in the restaurant. We were given no menu and poured a glass of cheap red; my request for white rejected “ It’s free the waitress said “. What followed was:* 3 very small bowls of corn soup* 3 x 5cm crab shells stuffed with something claimed to be crab but tasting only of potato mash with garlic. Inedible - we returned them uneaten* 3 x half of a very small prawn stuck onto a ball of the same inedible garlic mash* 3 x tiny 4cm mini- prawn rolls together with a spoonful-sized serving of something claimed to be apple and green papaya salad. This process took 1hr 40 minutes. At that point we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. The description of the meal as “ French-Vietnamese Banquet “ is nothing less than fraudulent. I'm sure the claim to Trip Advisor 4 - 5 star rating is likewise The Bluestone Restaurant on its own website claims to be “Chinese-Malaysian.” The meal served has not the remotest connection to “ French-Vietnamese” which is why we booked it. And to be frank what was served would appall all three national cuisines.
