11th Tiger Thai Street Cafe - Danville

A friend recommended this place, and I was rather disappointed by the location and appearance, but our group was very hungry, and we were not going to change gears and try and find another place! Well, it ended up being a win! The five star reviews are on point! The garden rolls for appetizers were ample and beautifully done with perfection, fresh ingredients. We ordered three entrees to share among us. The Yum Mango Salad was excellent, and I wish I had ordered the full portion. The Prawns atop the salad were superb!~actually the Best I have had. The two other dishes ordered in the group were full portion and quite ample and delicious! One entree had the Prawns with amazing noodles, the other entree featured asparagus, a variety of meats, with green curry rice, all pleasantly spicy! The mango and sweet rice desert was very tasty! The shock of it all is that the entrees averaged 14$. How it is possible to have prices this low with such high quality foodstuff is bewildering! I quickly got over the utilitarian ambience and would definitely go back for the great tasting food! Super gracious, sweet waitstaff made for added great pleasure to our visit. Enjoy!!

Pretty good Thai food! We had calamari, green curry, roasted duck red curry, pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai. Pineapple fried rice was surprisingly the most popular menu from the group. Rest of the food was all decent. If I am around, I can see myself coming back.

Cute cozy place, outdoor seating with heat lamps, attentive service. Food of course is amazing!

I wanted to write this review because I was super not happy with my food and with the reason the waitress gave me. Went to dinner few weeks ago with friends and ordered the Bomb Bay. It says there are basa white meat fish beside the other sea food. The fried basa white meat fish the waitress has confirmed when I asked were not chewable, I am not kidding, I had to swallow the whole thing because it was too embarrass to spit it out in front of my friends. When I showed the waiter by using all my effort to cut it with the spoon (it didn't do a thing) and she said it's probably heavily battered. Wow, what kind of batter they used for the white fish meat that couldn't even do a it by sawing back and forth with a spoon?

Good food, but I wish they weren't their orders in plastic containers, especially since most meals are hot! When we came home, the containers were almost melted. compostable paper containers would be great.
