Drake's - Dallas

My husband surprised me with dinner here for our marriage anniversary. This restaurant was everything. The decor, the music, the energy was amazing! We were waited on by Liam who was splendid in every aspect. His explanations and recommendations were extremely useful especially considering it was our first time ever dining there. The food was delicious and wonderful. Our favorite was the Mac and cheese. I was so pleased with our experience and it is very likely that we make Drake’s a regular part of our anniversary celebration. Our thanks to the bartender, cooks and especially Liam for making our special night that much more special!

Now this is a place that deserves five stars, they don’t do anything fancy, but they do everything well and precise and always always with a smile. Food is important, yes, but the people that work at the restaurant are equally important, they greet you with a smile when you walk in, the whole experience is better because of the people that work there.

This place is really overrated. Atmosphere is nice . Booked this place for my friend bday . The my first problem is how they send u the notification afyer u book about the dress code . Telling u no tennis shoes flip flops open toed shoes etc . I struggled to figure out what to where cause the dress code was so strict. But we get there I see all the female guest has on open toe shoes . Men with tennis shoes n sweat pants it’s the discrepancy for me . Now the drinks so small for 19 dollars margarita the food was blend n had a bad smell neither one of us could stomach it .

Wagyu is perfect and also pizza is amazing, I didn’t like two appetizers but they didn’t charge us. Perfect place!!

I came to celebrate my birthday with my husband and friends. The atmosphere was good. The music was a little loud but that’s okay. We were excited! We ordered an assortment of entrees and sides. I’m from Chicago and the waiter told us the pizza was Chicago thin crust. That’s what I chose to get in addition to the multiple sides we got.The food was good. The cheese fries and cauliflower were amazing. The twice baked potatoes were okay but had so much cheese on them it ruined the goodness of the potatoes.We asked for the pizza to be boxed up along with several of the sides. There was only about five pieces of the pizza eaten. So nearly an entire pizza that is 25.00. When we got home, the pizza was not even in our bag!Knowing the level of restaurant Drake’s is, I emailed and answered the survey they sent letting them know about the pizza missing from our bag. Now in the scheme of things, it’s not really about the pizza. It’s about the server not boxing it up for us. Again. It was nearly an entire pizza. He didn’t just miss that. I get mistakes happen, but then for nobody to respond to the survey or my email regarding the experience is what made me decide to review here.So, what could have been a much higher rated experience is tarnished by a few people who either didn’t care enough to handle a situation correctly or didn’t know how to. A response would have been enough to make me give them another chance.There are so many amazing restaurants in Dallas. I’ll choose to spend my money trying some other ones.
