Tafernwirtschaft Fischer - Dachau

Upon entering the restaurant we were a little confused, as we did not know if we were to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Eventually we were seated and given a menu. There was a fine selection of good German food. Our meals were served promptly. Food was tasty. The wait person was friendly, understood and spoke English well, and was efficient. Atmosphere was cozy and German-ish.

Stopped in for lunch to this nearly empty restaurant. Food was overly abundant for the "small menu" and quite good but the service was not. We could not finish our meals since we didn't expect so much food and service turned sour at that moment. We didn't see our service person for some time after that despite being the only people there. No offers of coffee or more wine. And it took several requests to get our bill.

We had lunch on the terrace after a visit of the KZ Gedenkstätte Dachau. Efficient and friendly service, decent German food ("gutbürgerliche Küche). Recommended.

Food was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. Probably would have done better at the local fast food restaurant
