Jolly Oyster is located in Citizen Public Market. There's counter seating and also plenty of communal seating inside, outside, and on the rooftop. The area can get quite busy during weekend meal hours.I ordered one thing. The baked oysters were really good. $20 for 1/2 dozen and you can pick whichever flavors you want. I split this with a friend and tried the cacio e pepe, habanero lime, and French onion. All were delicious. I heard the kimchi was really good too. The cashier was very friendly. I definitely want to come back and try other items on their menu.
Great little spot to grab some fresh oysters located in the Citizen Public Market area in Culver City. It's sorta like a mini Grand Central Market with various eateries and can easily be a one stop shop for food and dessert.I opted for a half dozen baked oysters (half Habanero Butter and half Cacio E Pepe), purple scallops, and a Self Care cider to wash it all down. The oysters were amazing and paired well with some fresh bread that accompanied it. As for the purple scallops, it was quite pricey for the small portion and I'd consider skipping it. My friend got the bay scallop ceviche, which was a better bang for your buck and was quite tasty. Overall, service was very friendly and food quality was top notch. Definitely would come back again to enjoy a few drinks, eat oysters, and catch up with buddies.
We opted for a dozen oysters, and they offered a variety of flavors and textures that pleased our palates. The KUMAMOTO oysters were a delightful start, small and sweet, with a delicate taste that was quite appealing. They were a great choice for those who prefer a milder oyster. The LAGUNA BAY SELECT oysters were refreshing, and the hints of cucumber added a unique twist to the traditional oyster flavor. They were a pleasant surprise and a nice contrast to the sweetness of the Kumamoto oysters. The GUEST OYSTER was an interesting concept, as it was a rotating option. It 's a nice touch for those looking for something different each time they visit. The staff was helpful in providing details about the visiting oyster of the day.The oysters were served with a selection of house mignonettes, which complemented the oysters well and enhanced their flavors!
We had raw oysters and it was amazing. Definitely coming back!
