Banquetes El Origen - Cuernavaca

Busy day with day of the teacher but the service and food were great. Dad is 92 and the manager or host was so helpful.

After all night travel, my in-laws picked me up at the bus station in Cuernavaca (la Selva) and took me for breakfast at El Orígen. They offered us a table inside or at the garden. We picked outside. The menu selection is great with authentic flavors. I had this amazing Chicharronada (enchilada with cecina In Chicharron sauce, queso fresco black beans with a slice of avocado) 1/2 orange 1/2 grapefruit juice and a piece of very flavorful fig pastry. Don't give a 5 because the coffee was weak and our table to closed to the parking, cars driving near our table constantly.

We had lunch there which was very good, but the best thing was coffee and bread! Also hot chocolate was good, recommended for a nice and quiet lunch with family or friends

The place is really nice and charming, the food was incredibly delicious!! I fell in love with the tortillas hand made, fideo’s soup and the service! Kind and quick service! It was not crowded as the place deserves, but maybe it is because it is veryyyy good! Prices are standard!! It is highly recommended!

On a Sunday afternnon I decided to try the newish El Origen. They need to correct Google Maps location and it shows a spot about 3 blocks away from the actual resturant. Ambiance is familie with children and grandmothers. My girlfriend was not impressed, until we receive the food. We both ate Moles, two different kinds and both were very well presented and tasty. The price was also quite moderate. Definitively a new option when in Cuernavaca.
