One of the worst restaurant of Vapiano , I have tried many of them in different countries, the pasta in this one is so bad and different from others. Really disappointed !!!
I ordered a pizza, a drink, and asked them to refill my water bottles. The pizza was decidedly average, quite meh. Definitely not worth 200something Pesos. Especially compared to the only slightly more expensive but absolutely excellent pizzas of San Giorgio nearby. How can you charge such a high price? The drink was undrinkable until I asked for a spoon to get the ice cubes out. Seriously, what am I even paying for, look at the attached picture. And my refilled bottle... How stupidlt idiotic must you be to put in >boiling water<? I blindly only the upper part of my bottle felt hot, because it is thermo insulated, and of course you don't hold a bottle at its upper part took a sip, and burned my mouth. What the utter profanity. In these three months of travelling, I have never written a review for anything but paying 300something Pesos for this is an outrage. Please, avoid, avoid. Avoid.
Went twice to Vapiano for dinner, just one day after the other. You order the food on a screen. The pizza has a good crust, but could have a more cheese and toppings on it, even charging more. The spaghetti had a taste of wheat flour. May be they don't add eggs to it ??? But the best was the Mar y Terra salad. Shrimp cooked to perfection, crispy lettuce and tasty dressing.
Last month, a family group of mine went to the Vapiano Reforma for dinner. I must say that perhaps we set our expectations too high since we have enjoyed the same restaurants at different European Locations (London, Stockholm, Mainz, Berlin, etc). Everyone of those Restaurants was a a pleasant experience for us, with excellent food and service, and quite reasonable prices. In Europe we always had to carry the food from the counters to our tables. Not so in Mexico, but the staff did a good job all around servong the food and clearing the tables. Even though the food was well prepared, we disliked the location (Reforma). The surrounding streets and sidewalks are very crowded an noisy, and it was very difficult to find a parking space. These aspects are perhaps different at other Mexico City locations. We also missed the fresh herb pots at the tables, a feature common in Europe. Our bill for a few beers, pizza, and a small appetizer, was rather high for three people. Over 90 dollars. Still affordable, but relatively higher than other location we have tried.
