The Wooden Nickel - Crested Butte

The food was disappointing. While the restaurant is a well-known spot in Crested Butte and there are many other places nearby with excellent cuisine, we found the dishes here lacking. Although the ambiance and service were lovely, we won’t be coming back.

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! We had a large group, and they took wonderful care of us.

We received multiple calls and texts informing us that our reservation was canceled due to the kitchen being down for the night. Despite this, we decided to take the bus into town to find another place to eat. To our surprise, the Wooden Nickel was operating and bustling with diners enjoying their meals. On a whim, we walked in, mentioned we had a reservation, and requested a table. They didn't say a word about the kitchen issues, and we were promptly served a full meal. What’s going on here?

Filet and shishito peppers were both excellent and the tall Texan was possibly the best spicy marg I’ve ever have

Jenna was an outstanding server! Food was prepared correctly and promptly, even though the place was packed with people—always enjoy our dining experience at Wooden Nickel.
