The Hillside Inn - Crawley

The hillside inn is a beautiful place for a meal with friends and family. the menu is well built and the service was attentive and friendly. the large open fireplace with view of the bar gives warmth and a view.

Average crates. vegetarian frying was ok, but kartoffels were not crispy and clearly mass-produced.

I am a regular visitor, but eating was really not great today both my latte were as warm and my pate was not great a chutney and my friends steak sandwich was understated and cold. the customer service was brilliant steak and took off the bill. overall very disappointed today

Second time I’ve used Open Table to book The Hillside Inn , to find out they don’t have our booking. Fortunately they have found us table but how do they put that correct? It makes you feel you haven’t booked until they can see the booking on my phone.

Unfriendly greeting. Table not ready for booked time and had to keep chasing whether table was ready waiting 20 mins eventually. Then took further hour for starters to be served and further hour waiting for main course. Roast beef was ok but looked as if it had been thrown on the plate and quality of potatoes, vegetables poor. Yorkshire puddings were flat and only slightly warm. If the restaurant cannot cope with busy periods on busy days they shouldn't book so many people in. It was quite clear they couldn't cope. At least our waiter was polite, friendly and helpful.
