Bishamon Japanese - Covina

I initially wrote a review that I plan to update. We were a large group and our orders were messed up significantly. After two hours (having been seated around 8), we finally received something that was close to what we ordered. How can it possibly take two hours to prepare a curry dish? It's just rice, curry, and beef. To top it off, we didn’t even receive the full combination we ordered as they were out of salad and miso soup. This kind of service would never happen at Little Tokyo, which handles far more customers than this place. We paid full price for this outrageous experience. The Bishimon group should be embarrassed. While their other locations—some of which have been around for 30 years—offer great service, it’s disappointing to see the original location provide such inadequate service without any effort to rectify the situation. Even when we requested an itemized bill to ensure we weren't charged for items we didn’t receive, we were just hit with a miscellaneous charge for everything we ordered. Additionally, the prices listed on their online menu were completely different from what we were charged at the venue. I strongly advise avoiding this location at all costs. They will take your money and leave you dissatisfied.

Pros Food tastes great, servers are nice and cordial.Cons Kitchen ran out of items and didn't communicate. A combination plate should include the items listed, such as Miso and salad. Or at least tell me before I order.Items came out for one person at the table at a time. By the time the last person in our party of 6 received their food, the first person had been finished for over 20 minutes. Overall we only received one dish every 15 minutes.We ordered waters twice and never received them.Overall, the mismanaged kitchen led to an extremely unsavory experience that the good food could not overcome.

Had a friend's birthday party here, he had been waiting until he was 21 to make full use of the karaoke and bar. Going there was such a blast, and thr atmosphere was amazing, the sushi chefs we're even joining in on the fun, wagering drinks and all that, very chill! Did karaoke after eating, had a blast with that as well. Very cool.

Celebrated a girl friend's birthday here. It's so comfortable there. And so was the clienteleWaitresses were on it. Overall fun karaoke bar.

Rolls galore. Entrees kept rolling in keeping me busy devouring them. One delicious bite after the other. My niece did all the ordering because I treated her and her Mom. After all those savory rolls, they had to roll us out. Great service. Arigatou!
