Chalet Val Ferret - COURMAYEUR

Ho avuto un delizioso pranzo a base di trota, in carpione come antipasto e al burro e salvia con contorno incluso. Tutto era cucinato davvero bene. Il personale era cordiale e attento. Il luogo era incantevole.

Escursione nella Val Ferret con pranzo al chalet. La polenta con farine grezze della valle è deliziosa, sia quella con fonduta, sia quella alla valdostana. I bocconcini di cervo in umido e la carbonada con bacche di ginepro sono ottimi e cucinati con maestria. Il personale di servizio è gentile e competente. Bravi tutti! Ci sono altre proposte invitanti nel menu. Torneremo tra qualche giorno. Ci sono anche sdraio per il relax a disposizione gratuitamente, oltre a tavoli e panche per chi vuole consumare il proprio cibo. E non è da poco.

At the bottom of the mountain you wouldn't expect to see this place...it's the hidden gem. A fabulous large bedroom and huge ensuite, felt really spoilt. Room had a queen bed and bunk beds. Waking up to the view of the mountains with the sun beaming down on it is breathtaking. Dinner was great as was breakfast and their made lunches. They also have a great little bar area separated from the lodgings. Its not big but is very comfortable and cozy. The outside area would be great on a warmer day/night. There was wifi here but for most of us only in the reception area.

Very friendly service, and plenty on the menu. It’s not gourmet but that’s not what you’re looking for here, is it? The surroundings go without comment ! You’ll just have to come over and see for yourself. We didn’t book lunch, so we had to wait around for ten minutes. No problem in this scenery.

Spent there one night while on the TMB. The room we got was nice and comfortable. Dinner was OK. The place is very nice and friendly.
