Alan, the manager, couldn't have been more accommodating giving us the whole dining room and some of the patio outside, tailoring the menu to suit our (very varied) needs, and giving us a wonderful, stylish, night to remember. Really good food, friendly and helpful service, with the backdrop of the Llawnroc patio and view it was just wonderful!
Part of this review is covered under the review of the hotel but I can recommend the Bistro onion bhaji/scotch egg was a hit, as was the mackerel in miso and the lamb harissa; cod and chips and the duck were also lovely. Good wine list
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. Make sure you try the chef's special scallop starter, it's the best I've ever had! And you can't go wrong with the delicious eggs royale for breakfast.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, but the service is lacking. The chef is very talented, but unfortunately, the service does not live up to the same standard. Despite dining during a government promotion when the restaurant was nearly empty, the poor service was still a disappointment. I agree with others who have commented on this issue.
Not very impressed, it had a cold atmosphere, the food was not good and the staff lacked attention to detail...... like cutlery!!
