Valentina's - Cornwall-on-Hudson

Went here for dinner last night...the BYOB is awesome. Food was delicious. Home made banana cheese cake was fantastic. Small quiet homestyle restaurant. Prices are wonderful. Staff was extremely friendly. The chef came out to check to make sure we were enjoying our dinner....all I have to say is WOW! What a great place. So glad me and the husband went. We will be planning on booking our family Christmas dinner there and will definitely go back many more times.

I have dined at this restaurant several times and have always found the food to be very delicious. The fact that it is BYOB is a bonus. The service is excellent and it is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant. The only downside is that it only accepts cash, so make sure to hit the bank before bringing a group of friends or a large party.

We visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night and were greeted with a sign stating that they only accepted cash, which seemed to be a new policy. Another couple ahead of us seemed surprised and another table had to leave to get cash. Adam kindly went to the store for us while I looked over the menu. We started with the calamari special, which had a sriracha and mint sauce and was quite good. The portion was generous, especially for just the two of us. For our entrees, Adam had the fettuccine Alfredo and I had the fettuccine Carbonara. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but the Carbonara was not what I expected. It had a thin, almost Alfredo-like sauce instead of the traditional egg, pasta water, pancetta, black pepper, and cheese. The dishes also came with a small mixed green salad with a choice of dressing. Unfortunately, they were out of Gorgonzola cheese and only had Feta. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but I would be willing to give this place another try based on other positive reviews. The waitress was friendly and made the dining experience more pleasant. Just a reminder, it's BYOB and cash only now.

Valentina's is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff, where guests will enjoy everything.
