Coolum Beach Bowls Club

Visiting the club mid morning with some friends recently, ordered coffee and was horrified at the pale brown slightly foamy luke warm rubbish I was presented with. My order for "skinny cino strong" was obviously misunderstood or ignored. These days this will not do as patrons are a lot more savvy and experienced so train your staff, get some decent equipment and accept graciously when a customer complains.

Well organised in the kitchen being able to serve 100 bowlers without a hitch. Delicious meal. Fish, chips and salad. Freshly cooked. A choice of four different meals pre-ordered. .

The food was well presented and nicely cooked but the menu lacks imagination. Not much different than a few other places we ate at in the previous couple of weeks.

My wife and I were in Coolum a couple of weeks ago and it was a wet night. We took the courtesy bus to the Club, where we had very enjoyable meals, which were of more than adequate size and moderately priced, along with a bottle of wine purchased from the bar. We also indulged with delicious deserts, again very well priced, to round off our meal. Just as we finished a call came to say the courtesy bus was about to leave, so we were delivered back to our accommodation and avoided getting wet. it was a lovely evening.

This is good quality bowls club fare at good prices - but suggest you play to their strengths and stick to the favourites such as crumbed fish, Parma....
