As a higher end restaurant so paid more than I in the rule for string funnel with curry/dhal, but the setting was smart and comfortable and cool and the service was top notch. above all, it was delicious.

We had funnels and funnels with dahl and other flavors that were delicious! the cocos water was not good. the service was friendly, but the toilet stinked! a little expensive, but good overall.

Traditional Sri lancan food, but food quality is below average. feels like cheap fast food chain after we were paid and gone, the waiter followed us on the road and asked for tipp, although 10% service was included.

When I had dinner twice (on the afternoon and once for dinner), I had pineapple curry, which was delicious and probably my favorite meal at the visit of sri lanka. I also tried funnels with tomato curry and fried baby jacket.

Upalis is where we take visiting friends from other countries if they want some traditional Sri Lankan food in a nicer setting. There are lots of vegan options and the staff are really good. There is also a small cafe attached to the main restaurant where you can get takeaway rice packs, patties etc. Upalis also offer a Sri Lankan breakfast with dhal, string hoppers etc if you like. They have changed their menu to show vegan options now but I never added it because they serve mutton (goat) which I wasn't sure if it was allowed on the veg-friendly list or not.
