Long John Silver's A&w (70222)

Usually it's good, but the last time they didn't have diet root beer and sides were limited because they were out of a bunch of stuff. Employees weren't helpful. I get it, we all have bad days or don't like the job, but I shouldn't have to bear the brunt of that. I just want my little piece of food happiness for 5 minutes.

The food quality of the chili cheese dog and corn dog nuggets was very mediocre. The Fried Sriracha Cheese Curds and Fries were good. You need to go to the Long John silver's website to order online. Honestly for the fact this place is pretty expensive for what it is, unless you're specifically craving this, I'd recommend going anywhere else that is nearby.

With a combo of 2 restaurants pulling up to the speaker is confusing of which place your ordering from. Ok Bacon burger combo(a&w)and a extra cheeseburger.... Pull to window after 10 mins. Get soda.... Asked to pull around to #1 spot for order. Cars pulling up getting orders, leaving... I 'm still sitting(15mins) then lady comes out hands me big bag of captain D 's and starts going inside.... I said hey wrong order, mine was a&w combo and extra cheeseburger .another 10 mins go by. Finally the lady comes out hands me a bag and takes off. Everything in bag, cool. Pull through to parking lot by Walmart. Kill engine. Start eating one of the burgers.... Cold and so full of mustard my god!!!!! I would of took bag of food inside but I had no receipt and or patience. So if u plan on a nice lunch/dinner/snack...I 'd avoid A&W in Collinsville. Not worth the time or money?

I circled the building because the severe neglect to the exterior led me to believe the business was closed. I passed the drive though before seeing the open sign on. The woman at the drive through was extremely helpful and sweet. I waited in my assigned spot for my food to be brought out to me. After a reasonable amount of time, a young man very slowly and awkwardly walked out of the door as if he was off work and had nowhere to be, holding a box of food almost on its side. I thought it was his own food until he stood looking into my driver side window without a word or hint of emotion. He thrust the box of food halfway into my window for me to take. Not a word. No double check to make sure he had the right order. Rid of the box, he spun on one foot and strolled back inside with the same aimless speed he had arrived. A very mixed experience? In the end, my food was fresh and tasty, and the woman at the window was helpful and professional, but the building and young man made the trip awkward enough that I may not return anytime soon.

The food at this restaurant is always fresh and made to order. I have never received a cold meal here. The reason for the lower rating is due to the customer service. The lady who cleaned the lobby on my last visit was friendly, but the rest of the staff seemed unhappy with their jobs. It is important to make the best of your current situation and stay positive. Negative attitudes can drive customers away. Hiring cheerful staff members will create a better atmosphere and attract more happy customers.
