Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Porkcheek was one of the best things I've ever eaten. That's what College Station is missing.
That is really a unique place. there is something for everyone. food will love everything on the menu, so fresh with the farm-to-table concept. they have 12 craft beers on hahn and a heavy weinlist all available through the glass! eating is amazing and we loved to combine a drink with each cure. I would highly recommend making reservations before the time. parking can be difficult, but we have learned that they valet at the george.
Unlike any culinary experience at Bryan College Station! All food is farm to table, so the menu often changes. While the parts are small, it is a great opportunity to order and share several items, such as tapas. If the presentation you do not blow away, the constant explosion of taste in any dish will certainly impress you! I recommend trying Poppy's, we're back for more! It is more of an experience, in the fact that you want time to enjoy each plate, and it is not expected that you sit, get your food and leave within 45 minutes. Reserve for large groups.
What a great experience! Let me preface this review with, don?t expect to leave full as a tick. This is more of a tapas restaurant, where you order several different items and they are served in very small portions. I went with a group of 4 and we tried many different menu options. Menu is small, but the food seriously delivers! My favorite appetizer/starter/what have you was definitely the tuna hands down. We tried just about every entree item and not one disappointed me. The halibut, pork cheeks, and quail were all AMAZING! There were 2 options for dessert, the three others i was with did not enjoy the bread pudding but i found it very tasty, despite it not being traditional. We also had a very tasty French press with dessert. The ambiance was fantastic and there was a lot of attention paid to detail throughout the restaurant and experience as a whole. The only drawback would be do not come here in a hurry, be ready to take your time and soak it all up. This is of course not even a week into opening, but i see this restaurant really taking off!
