Simon's Bakery - Cockeysville

I visited your restaurant for the first time today and was surprised by the affordable prices. Upon entering, I was greeted by a cashier who seemed distracted while helping me decide what to order. There were no prices displayed, so I had to ask for the cost of items. The service was quick, but not as friendly or efficient as other bakeries in Baltimore. The cakes I purchased had a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and a filling inside. The strawberry cake had a thin layer of strawberry filling that was hard to taste. The cakes were moist and very sweet, almost too sweet for my liking. After paying for my cake, the cashier continued talking to a regular customer instead of acknowledging me. It seemed that this establishment caters more to regular customers rather than trying to attract new ones.

The Simon family has been baking for 140 years in Baltimore and has operated in various locations throughout the city before settling in their current location at Cranbrook Shopping Center. Convenient parking is available. The walls are adorned with photographs from past decades and a large collection of cakes and gelatin shapes. You can also purchase coffee along with freshly baked goods. Although there were many tempting options, we specifically came for their version of Baltimore Peach Cake. The pie was incredibly juicy with a strong peach flavor. The aroma was even more delightful on the car ride home. This cake is not as dense as others we have tried, making it our favorite dessert so far.

Delicious food! We tried Danish pastries, cookies, donuts (the marshmallow cream is my favorite), and the cupcakes were perfect. I wish I could eat them every day. The staff were very kind, and I can't wait to come back.

We ordered a cake for a special occasion and Simon's bakery made us an absolutely beautiful and delicious cake. For years we had bought donuts, fritters, crumb cake and pastry but we had never ordered a cake at Simon's before. This lovely, tender cake with a tart, lemon filling and frosted with vanilla buttercream was one of the best cakes we have ever had.
