Queenies Bake Shop - Cobourg

Recorded a few baked they were absolutely fantastic, we had ordered apfelstrudel, dolly bars, brownies, and the cinnamon rolls they were all delicious!

Updating as we had another fantastic experience here. Honestly Adam, you are the best. I called ahead and asked for special cupcakes with hearts on them for a special occasion. Adam came thru for me. And those cupcakes... so light, not overly sweet. Delicious! Whenever in Port Hope, we always go to Queenie's for lunch treats... get a box to take back to Toronto. See you again! Everything here is soooooo good!!! Literally everything! We're from Toronto and let me tell you, nothing in our big city rivals Queenie's. The food is excellent quality, great portions fair prices. We had the bars: Nanaimo, Hello Dolly, Lemon Squares... each one is excellent. We went back to get more. We had the sandwiches: chicken salad, pork roast, grilled chicken... top notch! All the ingredients are fresh, nice blend of flavours. Sooooo good! We had the pastries: butter tarts, pecan square my favourite... chocolate cinnamon danish roll (to think we tried this by accident because we bought a day old). The flaky pastry is light, not overly buttery. So glad this is a 1 hr drive from my home. Just writing this review, I'm craving more. Our new Port Hope tradition, grab lunch at Queenie's, buy a dozen treats to pack in my cooler to bring home (to tide me over til our next visit).

The little engine that could! Stopped in for lunch yesterday and I was not disappointed. Delicious chicken soup and pork sandwich with a cup of well brewed coffee. Couldn’t resist grabbing one of the chocolate pastries on my way out. Friendly staff managing to maintain a welcoming atmosphere despite the current challenges. I will be back... often.

We had delicious buttertart with a coffee. Baked right there and service was excellent! There is a nice place to eat outside and watch the salmon work their way up the river.
