Great food, fresh and clean, and the young gentleman Mathis who waited on us customer service was the absolute best. They are lucky to have him, so friendly to the customers and professional, beyond excellent job! Thank you!
I took one of my team members to lunch, no complaints with the food. After we ate, we both refilled our drinks before leaving. As I was filling my cup with tea, the nozzle on the tea container started gushing out. I notified the “manager” and he came over and for whatever reason he removed the nozzle and tea started pouring out. He lifted the container to take it to the sink. As you can imagine, tea was flowing everywhere. He busted his bum in the process, then slammed the container in the sink. The next time I went to this location, I took a sales manager from a local dealership. The same “manager” took our order and he wasn’t friendly what so ever. He proceeded to tell me he will fill my drink for me (I guess he thinks I wasn’t capable, or just wanted to be hateful? . After we got our food I told the guy I went with that I didn’t want to eat in store as I felt very disrespected by this “manager”. Nonetheless, we left, and I respectfully told him how I felt. After many complaints with the same gingerbread, from numerous people other than myself, I decided to get ahold of the owner. He was on vacation so I was directed to his secretary. I filled her in on the whole situation. She informed me that there had been an endless amount of complaints of this so called manager. She also informed me that “this was the final straw” and apologized a numerous amount of times. She insisted on giving me free meal coupons and I stressed to her that I did not want them, as I just wanted to inform her that this person is steering away business. She demanded I take them and I told her I would, but instead I would just give them to someone who needed them more than myself. She told me she would bring them to me within the next week. This happened on 9/08/23 and I still haven’t heard from her……. About a month later my team member ate at this location, and the same manager made his sandwich incorrectly. So incorrect, that when he grabbed the sandwich, he got a handful of Mayo. The dude left the lettuce and mayo on the bottom of the sandwich so when my team member picked it up to eat it, he grabbed a handful of mayo. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I will drive 30 minutes to another JJ’s location before I’d eat a sandwich he touches. Very disappointed in the service and how the situations weren’t handled at all!!!
We’ve enjoyed JJ through the years, at different stores all over the country, and have found they provide consistently excellent, fresh, delicious sandwiches. Our favorites are the Italian Night Club and the Beach Club.
Good sandwiches, with the caveat of getting the order right. I hate and despise mayonnaise. So I ask for no Mayo, and I get it half the time. I would turn around, but when you buy the sandwiches to take to work for the night shift, you are left with but one choice. Scrape it off. I miss the days of good service.
