Aga's Little Deli

Had to change my babies nappy on the cubicle floor. There is no excuse in this day and age when you can buy pull down change facilities that work in tiny spaces. Disappointing considering cafe clientele and the fact they advertise themselves as breast feeding friendly.

I have always had high expectations for Forest Hill. The Horniman Museum is incredible, a place full of inspiration, but that's about it. Or so I thought... Last Saturday, my daughter wanted to visit a haberdashery called Stag and Tails on Dartmouth Road. So we made the trip around the South Circular and stopped by the Horniman, which is even more impressive after its renovation. We then visited the sewing shop, which although a bit pricey, is quite charming and definitely worth a visit. As the rain poured outside, we asked if there was a good nearby restaurant where we could eat, and at that moment, three or more people in the shop excitedly mentioned 'Aga's'. The restaurant is small, so we were fortunate to get a table. The service was friendly and efficient, and the coffee was excellent. I had a Haloumi toastie, while my daughter enjoyed a 'perfect' scrambled eggs on toast. We absolutely loved it. (And then we thought, wouldn't it be amazing if the Horniman cafe was operated by Aga!)

Forest Hill is a much better place for Aga’s Little Deli. I have just finished a toasted cheese sandwich and it was good. My only wish is that they were even bolder with some specials and have a BIG Bear option on the menu for those with a big appetite. Cheese is very much at the heart of Aga’s with a wide variety available and they clearly know their fromage. Amongst 2/3 other establishments raising the bar in terms of food and coffee in SE23. Thank you Aga you make Forest Hill better !!

This is my favourite cafe in the Forest Hill area the sandwiches in particular are fantastic. I particularly recommend the brisket sandwich and the salami one is delicious too. Prices are a little high but the quality is undeniable and the service is always friendly.

This is a great place, food is freshly cooked and delicious. Great selection of cheeses. Great place to stop for food, good quality ingredients, excellent coffee. Staff very helpful.
