Kfc Colombo Street - Christchurch

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My order was incorrect; they forgot the potatoes and bread rolls. The chicken was served cold, and the chips were also cold and soggy. I could see through the window into the filthy, greasy kitchen. Once I paid in cash, which I had to remind the server how much change to give me, my order was handed out through the window, and they closed it without any way for me to address the mistakes. Since it was cold and raining, I didn't want to go inside to sort it out. My recommendation? Unless you're in a real bind, steer clear of this place. There are plenty of great chicken options nearby. I'm planning to try Empire Chicken from now on.

It appears that the restaurant has a new owner. The chips and wicked wings are of good quality and quite crispy. If you plan to use the drive-thru, be patient. Today, it took me just 20 minutes with two cars in front of me. If you're feeling hungry, I suggest grabbing a snack beforehand while you wait for your meal!

Local KFC: While the service can be inconsistent at times, the food is always satisfying. The restaurant often appears neglected, with trays and trash frequently left around. However, the Zinger burger is delicious!

I visited tonight, January 12, 2023, and the food was the best KFC I've had in a while. The staff were all very friendly and I didn’t mind the wait (about 10 minutes), especially since they were busy. Great job, KFC Colombo! Keep up the good work!

After waiting about 20 minutes (with only four other orders to handle in an almost empty restaurant), I finally received my meal. However, when I opened it, I noticed they hadn't included the supercharged sauce. I went to the counter to ask for it, showed them my receipt, and was initially told they didn't have it. After a brief moment, the staff member changed his mind and said they did have it. When I asked if I could get it since I had paid for it and it was missing, he insisted they didn’t have anything like that available and offered me tomato sauce instead. Not wanting to add to the confusion in an empty restaurant, I reluctantly accepted the tomato sauce, which I could have gotten for free. I’ve never tried the double down or the secret recipe pieces before, so I can't compare them to anything, but I’m probably not going to order them again.
