Boulevard Cafe - Christchurch

Coffee great. Service good. Had the big breakfast, served on cold plates, mushrooms, sausages and bacon were all just warm. Food definitely not hot enough hotter plates may have kept food hotter.

Lovely food but when young waitress asked if we knew what we wanted after waiting at till (we said yes) she mouthed the word f.u.c.k and grudgingly took the order .. 2.15pm ish. later during our time we saw her bring in all signs and refer people to only cabinet food .. several walking away. cutlery and drinks placed in front of us on a dirty table. chief bout out lovely food and was much more pleasant and hospitable. waitress just didnt want to be there I'm guessing purely by attitude.

I had only one of the best coffees I had ever, accompanied by an omelette that looked great, not cooked over (which I live), and even the brot was warm and super fresh (not just a bit roasted by yesterday brot). I was very impressed.

With a cucumber for a quick bite and coffee for morning tea. the place is in the north, so we sat in the magnificent sunshine for a good natter. coffee was excellent and we had fantastic cheese and spk and eggcake. delicious. what a great place!

Ordered the fish chips which my wife won't allow me to have very often. The portions were generous enough but the fish was overcooked and not very tasty. Heaps of chips which were very nicely cooked. Served with a small portion of rocket. Another disappointment was to find both of our wine glasses were chipped
