We also had a linguini seafood special with arrabiata sauce, and the jalapeño gnocchi. The ambiance was dark and quiet. I liked that they were not playing loud music as in other restaurants, which kept the conversations quiet and intimate. The food was simply fabulous and we will be returning soon!
Food is phenomenal and pricing is reasonable. Service is very responsive. If I wanted to be picky, the hostess wasn't very nice and the flatware felt incredibly cheap. The flatware actually made a huge deal in the meal, because it affected my shoveling the deliciousness into my face. Seriously, the jalapeno gnocchi in vodka sauce is off the charts good.
The Risotto and Rigatoni were just exquisite, delicious everything and cooked to perfection. The grilled squid was probably the best we've had. On the other hand, the salad and dessert were just very underwhelming. The tomato was so firm, colorless and tasteless, I thought these Italian restaurants had other suppliers to ensure top tier ingredients, but apparently this place doesn't. The chocolate cake felt like an instant mix thing someone put together off the shelf, and the espresso shot with a scoop of vanilla was just that. Quite underwhelming too. The main dishes though are what saved this review. Servers were excellent and very accommodating.
The ambiance was wonderful and the appetizers were tasty. Our server Nico was great and provided timely and friendly service. The entrees were good but not exceptional, and the pasta dishes seemed like they were lacking in flavor. Overall, it was a good experience.
Food was very tasty. I highly recommend the green eggs and ham (yes, it's a thing) and the potatoes (so good). The Nutella French toast was awesome too. Service was really good as well. Very respective and responsive
