Uncle Charlie's Bistro - Chestertown

Uncle Charlie should be classified as one of the best Kept Secrets from Chestertown. I say that, because if you're just passing by, you'll try out any other place in the city before you're happy enough to walk into this well-covered but surprisingly modern dining oasis. Once we discovered it, we were here again and again, enthusiastic every time with personal service that rival Blue Heron, a menu and specials, the rival Brooks, and enthusiastic homemade ice cream that reminds me of Jeni's Ice Cream back in Columbus.

Great!. The main rib, crabcake sandwich, beer marries cod and chili grated sirloin were extremely delicious. the place does not look like much on the outside; but once in... the good was fresh and the waitress was really nice and helpful. I can't wait to come back.

My husband and I decided to stop here on the way through the city. We weren't sure what a place that was, but when it was lunch, we tried. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, service was friendly and the food was good! I had the oyster po' boy and my husband had the Caesar salad with crabs. The salad came completely covered with crabs. My sandwich was good too, but I only ate 1/2. We will definitely go back!

Very nice. I ordered to take three different weekends and everything was great. The staff was very helpful and the food was great.

Amazing Prime Rib. Went to Uncle Charlie's last night (Thursday) for prime rib. Started off with cocktails and wine for our party. Steamed shrimp and oysters stuffed with crab imperial were our appetizers perfectly cooked on a nice beds of greens, great cocktail sauce with the shrimp. We ordered 3 prime rib dinners. Two were to be medium rare and the other between medium and medium rare. They all came out perfectly cooked. None of us wanted a potato so we opted for double vegetables. The prime rib was like butter, amazingly tender, perfectly marbled in a lovely au jus. The vegetable of the day was haricot vert (very thin green beans) with tiny julienne carrots, cooked perfectly. The service was impeccable. Nice to see a new restaurant in town. We'll be back soon!
