We love it here! Been around 6 times now and have enjoyed every single bit of food I have been served. Beautiful surroundings and great service always. More Egyptian than Lebanese even the decor and music. Not all the food was Lebanese. Don't get me wrong, it was nice food. Kishek was more like a lebne, falafel was not falafel. Mixed pickles were beetroot and olives, Kanafe was more like baklawa. They didn't have makanek as sausages, they gave us a different sausage. Kibbeh was so dry. Salads (tabula and fatoush) need a lot of improvement. We came for dinner last Friday as 2 families. My husband is Lebanese. This was the first time he tried a Lebanese restaurant in the UK, and we wanted to share this experience with friends who have never tried Lebanese food before. When I called to make the booked, I asked if their chefs are Lebanese they told me the head chef is Lebanese, the other chefs are Arab. When we arrived, we asked to speak to the chef, but there was no Lebanese chef, and no one from the kitchen came out to talk to us.. this I find weird. It was 5.30pm, and extremely quiet. I've worked in Restaurants in the UK, and chefs have never had an issue with poking their head out and saying hi! We ordered the Lebanese way lots of starters, a couple of mains. We asked them to bring the food out as they are ready. I made the instruction clear. They brought all our food out together even the main! When I asked why, she said the chef told her to bring it. I told her a number of times that the main will get cold, she finally agreed to take them back to the kitchen!
