My husband and I went here for the first time since our regular Sushi place was closed, and we weren't that impressed. The maki rolls were larger than our normal sushi palce but everything was very salty, and the rice was mushy. It took a long time for our food to come, and the waitresses did not check on us as fast as we get served at our usual place. The refills are not free as they are at our sushi place. We were excited to try a new place, but i think we will just stick to ours.
I partook in their all you can eat program. It was approximately C$22. I ordered light not wanting to over order. What I didn't know was that the portions are appetizer sized when ordering Pad Thai, for example. The good news was that I was able to order 5 different appetizers by the piece. Even then, though, the spring roll, for example was 2.5 inches long and maybe .7 inches thick. Just approach the menu with the idea that everything is downsized. It was fun. The shrimp tempura was excellent and I would return for that appetizer. Nothing was mediocre. It was all a little better than adequate, but I really enjoyed being able to eat like I was at a tapas bar.
I had to drop in to check it out and it was a true surprise how great the food was. I tried several things I had never had before and it was fabulous.
This is the 3rd time eating here & each time our orders were wrong. When our salad & miso soup were brought to the table the waitress just placed all the bowls at the head of the table & left us to pass them out. We then discovered we were 2 short of both & had to ask 3 times for the missing items. Getting a straw was a chore. An irritating dining experience.
