Upping my review and I will explain. Is this the best pizza? No. Is it ok? Yes. But on Valentine's night when we were back in Chatham, and when many, many other restaurants were closed, New England was open and doing their safe curbside pick up. It was a perfect Valentine dinner for us back at our cottage. Leftovers for lunch the next day. We watched a good movie and enjoyed with a nice red wine. It was a cold wintry weekend. New England pizza meant cheer and warmth. I hope all our favorite restaurants and pubs can open back up and we are grateful New England still has its ovens on.
I called in a steak and cheese sub order with a couple of special requests for pick-up and nothing was correct! The sub was terrible. Eat in might be different but be careful ordering for pick-up.
They tried to pass this microwave dog food as a steak and cheese sub. The old grandma who use to run this place must be spinning in her grave. Absolutely pathetic.
Nothing like the old New England Pizza... very confusing concept to the restaurant. You walk In and there is a pizza counter where you can order food and sit and wait for it OR sit in the same dining room and get a waitress and order food from the Knots Landing. So you can eat from the restaurant with waitstaff or walk up and order your own food and eat in the same dining room or another dining room ....if this sounds confusing, it is if you there! No one knows what to do when they walk in. We chose to walk up to the counter and order a Pizza, eggplant parm, and kids pasta. Took 40 mins+ !! We went up and the women at the counter to ask about our order and she sounded surprised we didn't get our food. Pizza was cold and nothing like the it used to be. 2 solid thumbs down. We also asked for parmigiana cheese and was given a shaker of it. When my daughter went to use she asked what the black stuff was in the shaker. It was mold!! We brought it to the counter and the male manager ? was basically just like Oh well and gave us new cheese. We will not be back to this very confusing restaurant for poor quality food.
